Why December Is the Perfect Time to Visit Boca Raton With Your Dog

And whether you're a Boca local or visiting for the holidays, Boca Raton transforms into a festive, pet-friendly destination filled with dog-friendly events, holiday markets, and tons of outdoor fun.

The Cutest Dog-Friendly Activity in Boca

If you’re looking for the cutest indoor/outdoor wellness activity in Boca this holiday season, then put Puppy Yoga Club Boca Raton at the top of your activity list.

Why? Because not only are our Puppy Yoga Club classes simply adorable, they also combine:

  • Calming, beginner-friendly guided yoga,

  • playtime with adoptable rescue puppies,

  • plenty of puppy-and-yoga induced serotonin boosts.

It’s the perfect December pick-me-up, whether you’re taking a break from holiday shopping at Mizner Park or simply need a joyful pick-me-up; our Boca location is guaranteed to brighten your day. Bonus: Many of our puppies find loving homes through these classes. You might just meet your next family member.🐶

Ready to hit the mat? Book your session today! But keep in mind—this activity is only for you. Let your pooch sit this one out while we bring the puppies to you during one of our yoga sessions. Think of it as a pre-holiday reset before all the major festivities and excitement. It will provide some much-needed relaxation time before you and your eager BFF (Best Furry Friend) take up some of the activities we’ve suggested below.

Let’s go!

This festive holiday market brings together local artisans, small businesses, and pet-friendly vendors for a cheerful, community-centered (and thrifty) shopping experience.

Hosted in partnership with Camp Bow Wow, the Merry Market welcomes dogs and their humans to browse handcrafted gifts, holiday décor, treats, accessories, and unique finds from South Florida creatives. 5. Holiday Fantasy of Lights at Tradewinds Park

While your pup shouldn’t join you inside the car if they are reactive to lights or sounds, this drive-through-only holiday light show is so popular that many pet parents do bring their dogs along. It’s a cozy, festive way to enjoy the beauty of Christmas-time lights — no walking required.

6. Mizner Park Holiday Events & Markets

While dogs are not permitted in Red Reef Park, they are welcome in Spanish River Park with certain restrictions, making it one of the best outdoor spots in Boca Raton for dog owners. Dogs are allowed on leash along the park’s scenic walking trails, offering a peaceful place to enjoy the ocean breeze and coastal nature with your pup. Spanish River Park is also home to Bark Beach, a designated dog-friendly beach area where pups can play in the sand and splash in the water. Access requires a permit (available to Boca Raton residents), while non-residents may purchase weekend or day permits.

10. Bonus: A Dog-Friendly Bite in Boca — Vinny’s Café

After a joyful day exploring Boca with your pup (or melting at a Puppy Yoga Club class), you may want a cozy spot to grab a delicious bite — with your dog right beside you. One of our local favorites that welcomes pups is Vinny’s Café, a casual, feel-good eatery with a dog-friendly patio.
